Balancing Hypotonic

I originally got a sample of this in the Take Care Black Friday gift bag with purchase. I loved it and then bought the full size. It is toning and refreshing and feels like it gets your skin extra clean after cleanser without feeling drying or stripping. It doesn’t look like it would be moisturizing but it is! Love it and will purchase again…the bottle is also huge so great bang for buck!

Listen, I know the smell can be a big turn off, but the product is really good. The smell does not linger on the face. It balance and does not strip. The reason I took a star off is because I am very picky with my toners and it did not fully stand toe to toe with my holy grail toner. I feel like it was just missing a little something and wasn’t as hydrating as my holy grail toner. But overall, it is really good, does what it says, and is a good product.

I stopped using this for a few days and immediately noticed a difference (and not a good one) in my skin. I've read comments about the strong apple cider vinegar smell, but I didn't detect that; like the other products in the Marie Veronique + Kristina Holey line, the main smell is earthy.

You might need to warm up to the smell, but this toner is worth it. It reminds me very much of the "vintners daughter active treatment essence" except more affordable. This is not a drying toner, if anything its more balancing. I just noticed my skin texture was more even all over and it prepped my skin well for a morning VitC or an evening retinol. I use it a few times a week with cotton pads. Definitely a gentle option for sensitive skin!
