Hello Dearest Take Care Community!
Happy New Year! I hope your 2023 is off to a great start. I am optimistic about this year and all the opportunity it brings. But before we skip to the year ahead, I want to take a moment to reflect on 2022 and all the magic it brought. Forgive me for the delay on this reflection, by the way! Along with many other folks, we spent our holiday under the weather and I am just getting back into the swing of things :)
2022 was a big year for the shop because we celebrated our 5th birthday! It is not lost on me that this is a milestone many small businesses do not meet, especially after the last few years. It is truly a gift that we get to continue to celebrate your skin with you and I am so deeply appreciative of your kind and abundant support over the years. Cheers to many more ahead!
This past year, we also won two exciting awards: Best Beauty Shop and even more exciting, 2nd Best Facial in DC! These awards are votes of confidence from our community and they encourage us to work harder at delivering the best services and experiences possible to you. Our shop team is a small but mighty crew who is just as invested in your skin’s happiness as I am 💕And, our esthetician team takes so much pride in delivering some of today’s most in-demand esthetic services, from microcurrent to manual lymphatic drainage, with a thoughtful, person oriented approach. We endeavor to continue to refine and improve this year and already have a few things cooking up!
Beyond big milestones and exciting awards, 2022 was wonderful because we spent it with you. To all our new clients, we’re so excited you’re here. To all our tried and truers… we wouldn’t be here without you. It truly takes a village to make a small brick and mortar successful these days and you really are our village. Thank you!
We are taking the exciting energy of last year’s celebrations to create a transformative 2023! Knock on wood but this year feels fresh, and it feels like trajectories are changing. I am personally excited about re-envisioning Take Care’s role in the community and focusing more on engaging events, educational classes and immersive experiences. You know — all the things that took a back seat to the upheaval of the last two years. If there’s something you’d like to learn about, a brand founder you’d like to hear from, or a new service or product you’d like to see at the shop, let us know!
